30 Interview Responses Based Opinion

Interview Responses Based Opinion

30 Interview Responses Based Opinion - In a job interview, we often get questions related to our opinions from the interviewer. How do we respond and answer those questions?

In this article we will discuss some interview questions related to opinions. The following is an example:

1. What is your management style?

I recognize and bring out the best in my employees. Everyone has unique talents, strengths and weaknesses. Recognizing those traits in people allows me to assign job responsibilities to the right people, which increases widespread productivity and results.

I don’t treat those with whom I work like servants, because they’re not. Rather, I lead by example. If I set a large goal, then I work my hardest to achieve it using the help of those I’m supervising.

I find that leading by example, recognizing my people’s skills and allowing people to be who they are within the confines of a work environment yield the best results.

2. Are you a good manager? Can you provide an example.

I think that the productivity of the entire workplace dictates whether a manager is good or bad. If the employees are happy and doing good, solid work, then it implies good leadership. I would not classify myself as a “good” or “bad” manager but rather as an effective one.

The “good”/”bad” label doesn’t say much, it’s a feeling that people get about other people rather than a reflection of their work. Work should indicate my success as a manager, and I believe it has. For example, I get the most out of my employees by recognizing what work matches their inherent abilities.

By doing this, I can focus my own energy on completing my own tasks. It’s a win-win for the workplace, and it speaks to my effectiveness.

3. Why do you feel you have top managerial potential?

My ability to perform under pressure, assign responsibilities in a fair and accurate way, and to increase overall productivity all contribute to my success as a leader and my potential to be top managerial quality.

I have consistently performed within the confines of my job duties, as well as introducing new and effective ways to sustain the workplace.

My employees enjoy working with me, and I believe that a certain amount of interpersonal relationship garners respect and increases productivity. I lead by example, and this sets me apart from many candidates.

4. What do you see as the most difficult task in being a manager?

Two things affect me most as a manager: I hate letting people go, and I hate reprimanding employees. In an ideal world, I would need to do neither to complete my tasks.

Unfortunately, I find myself having to occasionally discipline or terminate an employee. I have been fortunate that termination, in my experience, is a last resort. With my effective leadership, usually disciplinary action is as far as it goes.

But I think of my employees as family sometimes, and as a parent hates to discipline a child, I hate to enforce my authority because I feel that I’ve earned enough respect for my employees to avoid difficult situations.

5. What do your subordinates think of you?

This goes back to respect, and I believe my subordinates respect me. They’re honest and trustworthy because I only hire and retain candid individuals. That said, I believe that they respect and value my opinions, even if they disagree with me.

I have rarely had to discipline an employee because of insubordination. I treat them the way I would any other colleague, and I believe this mutual respect goes a long way in establishing trust and teamwork. When we discuss difficult situations, my subordinates offer candid feedback that allows us to work harmoniously together.

6. What is your biggest weakness as a manager?

My biggest weakness as a manager is my biggest weakness in general: I tend to be a reserved person. This reservation translates into being quieter than the average supervisor, which can come across as cold or shy.

Rest assured that I am not a shy individual. I simply take extra time to determine if a situation merits my input.

I also trust my employees to do the right thing because I hired them on the premise that they would, and while this may not sound like a weakness, it can become one when faced with the unfortunate situation of an employee who refuses to correct bad behavior.

7. Do you prefer staff or line work? Why?

I think my strengths lie in line work. I take risks, manage well and offer valuable contribution to my organization. I live by the “do or die” motto, and it helps me to achieve great results in the workplace.

While I respect and value those who provide staff support, I feel that my place is in the line by driving business forward, making profits and improving my company’s financial viability.

I enjoy the feeling of living by my strengths and succeeding on effort rather than guarantee. With my background in sales, I feel that line work speaks directly to my talents and abilities.

8. Do you feel you might be better off in a different size company? Different type of company?

I think I’m exactly where I want to be at the present moment. Every experience is a learning opportunity and a chance to grow. In the future, I hope that my company would expand and grow into new markets so that I could be a part of that.

If not, then I would seek a larger company to expand on my abilities. As for the type, I currently enjoy my work and the work we’re doing as an organization. I’m not actively seeking a change of environment because I’ve made great strides in my current position.

9. What is the toughest part of a job for you?

I don’t know that there is a toughest part of a job for me. While some jobs are harder to learn than others or just plain harder to do than others, I enjoy the challenge of learning and performing new jobs. I enjoy meeting new people, so I enjoy getting to know my new fellow employees, both personally and professionally.

10. Are you creative?

I do think of myself as a creative person, both personally and professionally. Personally, I enjoy photography. I enjoy creating art out of the photos I take in nature. I enjoy making a photo of something normal to everyday life and making it look different by showcasing it in different ways and making the people that view it think about it.

Professionally, I enjoy taking raw data and making charts and reports to reflect a certain philosophy for presentation.

11. How would you describe your own personality?

I am a very outgoing person, I love meeting new people and feel as if I never meet a stranger. I am an honest, trustworthy, dependable, punctual and organized person. I am never late for work unless in an emergency.

I can be depended upon to complete any task that is given to me. I am very organized, almost to a fault. I like everything to be in its place, I feel being organized always me to complete any task easier and quicker. I am also a very fun loving person. I enjoy work and want everyone around me to enjoy work also.

12. Are you a leader?

I can be a leader or a follower, but I feel I am a natural leader. Leading people seems to come naturally to me, whether it be leading them in the completion of a project or leading fellow companions in a day to day activity.

I believe in leading by example, I believe that if the people working for me see me working hard to complete a project, they will work just as hard to get the job done.

13. What are your future goals?

My future goal is to be the owner and president of my own company. To achieve this goal, I must achieve many smaller goals. To start, I would like to manage a small group of people to complete a project.

I would then like to work my way up the corporate ladder, gaining experience at each level. I feel that it is important that any manager should know what the people he or she is managing are doing so he or she will know how to handle any developments that may come up.

14. What are your strengths?

My strengths go hand in hand with the person I am. My organization, dependability, and outgoing nature are my strengths that make me a good hire. I get along wonderfully with everyone at all levels of the company. I don’t know a stranger and enjoy working with everyone.

I love challenges, so I am up for anything that is thrown at me, the more challenging the better. My outgoing personality is great for the synergy within a company, as I can easily communicate with all levels of the business.

15. What are your weaknesses?

My biggest weakness may be my outgoing personality. By being able to along with everyone, people tend to view me as a friend. Which is fine until I have to enact any discipline with any of my fellow employees.

I have found that everything will go great until I have to perform disciplinary actions, then employees feel betrayed by me. This tends to make working conditions awkward for everyone.

To overcome this I am finding out that there is a fine line between getting along with my fellow employees and actually being friends with them. So I must find that fine line with each employee, so that we can all have a wonderful work experience.

16. Why should we hire you?

I know that I have received the highest quality of training in this field, but I do know that learning is a continuous cycle. So I will be an asset to your company because I am capable of blending these two components.

Your company has proven to be a prototype in this market for innovative concepts, and I feel my qualifications can lend to your mission.

17. Do you consider yourself successful?

I definitely do consider myself to be successful. Success is defined by your daily ability to focus on tasks that will make you successful. Success is also defined by the happiness that you receive by performing these tasks on a daily basis.

I’m successful because I enjoy what I’m doing, and I’m persistent at reaching my goals every single day. On a more basic level, I see success as having a roof over my head, and being able to feed my family every single day. For those reasons alone, I’m both successful and blessed. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

18. What do co-workers say about you?

My co-workers say that I’m nice, enjoyable to be around, and hardworking. When it comes to me being nice, I like to always put others before myself. I always like to do my best to help others, and I always like to be sure that I’m respecting everyone who I come into contact with.

I believe I’m enjoyable to be around because I respect others, but I also like to have a good time. I like to joke around, but be serious when it comes to completing tasks.

Finally, coworkers say that I’m hardworking because they see me rushing to meet deadlines. If I have 5 minutes left in my shift, I don’t wait for my shift to end and then hand my job over to the next employee. I rush, sweating if I have to, to complete the necessary tasks to get the job done.

19. Explain how you would be an asset to this organization

I would be a strong asset to this organization because I am punctual, hardworking, and dedicated to the projects that I take on. I’m also organized, friendly and am great at juggling multiple tasks and projects.

I learn quickly and am not afraid to put in extra time after hours to learn added skills that will aide in my ability to stay an asset to your company now and in the future. I will do whatever it takes to advance in your company if you choose to hire me.

20. Why should we hire you?

You should hire me for this position because I have several years of relevant experience under my belt and I am good at what I do. I look forward to the challenge this position would provide and feel that my skills would be of benefit to your company, as well as being the skills you are looking for.

I am always eager to learn new things and grow with the company I’m working for, and I look forward to having this opportunity. I will not let you down because I will not except anything less than the best from myself and I will give my best to your company in everything that I do while working for you.

21. Why do you think you would do well at this job?

I would do well at this job because I have experience but I am also adaptable. I know that no two companies are going to be alike and I’m eager and open to the change this new experience would provide.

I am interested in this field and love learning new things and being presented with new challenges to meet. I throw myself into everything I do completely and want to do well and progress in my career with your company.

22. How would you know you were successful on this job?

I try to set a high standard for myself as well as my own personal deadline and I see if I can meet it. For instance, I would tell myself that “I would do X amount of work before I can eat lunch” and I would make sure that what I am doing is acceptable before I can go eat lunch.

If I am able to meet my personal standards within my given time frame, I could consider myself successful. However, if I could not meet my personal standards, I would see what I did wrong and I would try to improve what I’ve done before I went to lunch.

23. Are you willing to put the interests of the organization ahead of your own?

Yes, because I believe that if everybody also puts their own interests behind the interests of the organization, the organization itself will improve as a whole, benefiting everybody.

In essence, I think that is one of the major factors of why organizations get big, because everybody puts the interest of the organization and sees to it that the goal is met.

About a year ago, I had a friend who helped fund a company for a project out of his paycheck and the project turned out to be a major success. I think being able to sacrifice things like that can go a long ways for organizations.

24. What have you learned from mistakes on the job?

By far the most important thing I’ve learned while working is to be persistent. Sometimes, the solution to a problem could be closer than I’ve originally imagined. I’ve also learned to never be too quick to judge, as first impressions are not always what it seems.

Another thing that I learned on the job was that using a little bit of creativity can create a better solution than the solution that you had in mind. Being creative can help you think outside the box, and in turn, allow you to see opportunities you never thought were present.

25. What qualities do you look for in a boss?

The most important qualities of a good boss is to be able to communicate with their workers well. He should have a good understanding of his employees and can manage effectively. I say this because when I was working for my previous company, I would always be in communication with my boss.

Because of him continually communicating with me, I was able to get a lot work done due to the fact that he and I were constantly on the same page.

26. What position do you prefer on a team working on a project?

I prefer to be a team player when I work on a project, but I am able to step up to the plate and be a leader when necessary. A few year ago on the job, I was assigned to work in a project with a group of six people.

I followed the team leader’s instructions very carefully while maintaining constant communication with everybody else.

A few days later, the leader had been fire because of a scandal that had been discovered by his boss, so we didn’t have a team leader anymore. It was then that I took over and lead the project, which succeeded and lead to a large profit to my old company.

27. Why are you leaving your present job?

I am looking for more challenges and more responsibility in a new position. I don’t feel as though my unique skill set is being fully utilized. I’m looking for a position where I can truly shine and put my education and experience to work.

Unfortunately, my current job just doesn’t offer a whole lot of room for personal growth and career development. I don’t feel as though I’m being challenged enough. I feel as if I could be more of an asset to a company where I can utilize my education and skills.

I would love the opportunity to work for a company where I’m challenged on a daily basis to put my best work forward. I am sad to leave my current boss and coworkers, but I’m looking forward to this next step in my life.

28. How do you feel about leaving all of your benefits?

I’m looking forward to an opportunity to prove myself in a new office environment. Unfortunately, that means giving up my current benefits package. I have no doubt that I will excel during a probationary period in my new position.

I’m excited about making the leap into a new position. I am ready to accept the new career challenges and work hard to achieve my goals. In addition, I don’t think that any employee should stay in a position for a benefits package alone.

That is a recipe for an unhappy, unproductive worker, and I don’t think it benefits the company either.

29. Describe what you feel to be an ideal working environment.

My ideal working environment is pretty flexible. I work incredibly well by myself and with others. It is important to me that I get the chance to put my best foot forward each day.

I enjoy working independently, and I do very well in a quiet, distraction-free workspace. In addition, I also enjoy collaborating with others. I’m a valuable team player, and I understand the importance of working well with others. My flexibility makes me a great choice for a dynamic office environment.

30. How would you evaluate your present firm?

I love my present firm. I hate to leave them, but the current position just isn’t right for me. I will miss my coworkers and teammates. The only thing I haven’t enjoyed about my present firm is the lack of challenges in my daily work.

I feel as though I could be putting my knowledge to much better use. Although I will miss all of my former team members and coworkers, I am looking forward to a more challenging and exciting position. I am ready to take the next step in my career.

My present firm was perfect when I first began, but now I’m ready to move into a more difficult and demanding position.
