10 Interview Responses Related Experience - In a job interview, we often get questions related to the experience of the interviewer. How do we respond and answer those questions?

In this article we will discuss some interview questions related to experience. The following is an example:

1. What do you look for when you hire people?

I look for people who can add something that we lack or who will complement an existing workforce. Most people can perform a routine task well if you train them effectively. I look for people who can complete routine tasks but also take initiative to drive our business forward.

When hiring, I choose people based on what they can bring to the table rather than just what their polished resumes present. I look for sharp individuals with diverse backgrounds, whether artistic and creative or logical and functional.

You need both kinds for effective business, and I believe in hiring people who will propel us forward rather than just push paper around.

2. How have you helped increase sales? Profits?

My ability as a sales leader has helped encourage my coworkers and managers to increase profitability. I look for the highest potential when making a sale, and I can recognize when a deal is going to go through.

Over the past few years of my employment, I have generated more revenue than most of my teammates by working longer hours, seeking out optimal clients and dedicating myself to the organization’s growth.

I attribute this to my strong leadership role. Recognizing where a team’s strengths lie has helped propel not only myself but also my organization, which has led to increased sales and profitability.

3. Have you helped reduce costs? How?

Knowing when to cut back is an important quality, and it’s one in which I happen to pride myself. Sometimes, you just have to scale down services in order to achieve results. This does not mean cutting quality, but rather cutting excess baggage that weighs down a company’s ability to produce.

I work within the confines of my organization’s needs, meaning that I work longer hours while still within my set salary, which reduces overhead and operating costs.

Encouraging my teammates to do the same means that eventually, when the company is stronger and the economy has bounced back, we will reap those benefits.

4. How much money did you account for?

In terms of what I personally was held accountable for, I was responsible for maintaining several of our larger, more established clients. Over the period of the last few years, I have attracted big clients to the organization, some of them by simply outlining our organization’s success and some by personal connection.

I have a great ability to connect with people, which helps me to increase our sales. This ability allows me to draw in successful a new client base while maintaining our existing clients on all levels. It’s an overall satisfactory situation for me, the clients and my organization.

5. How many people did you supervise on your last job?

I have always had a knack for getting the best out of people. Recognizing this, my superiors have placed a fairly large number of people in my direct line of supervision. I supervised a team of 14 that proved to be very successful, as our numbers indicate.

Nothing that people have different strengths and weaknesses, I am able to assign tasks to the right people to enhance and increase our productivity.

Allowing people to work within their interests and skills allows us to be more productive as a unit, which in turn increases the organization’s success. Supervising well has become one of my most valued attributes.

6. In your current or last position, what are or were your five most significant accomplishments?

In my current position, I have: increased profits by significant margin, built a solid team of people, worked well with my managers to accomplish more than we thought possible, learned several new skills that will help me in the future, and I have spoken at several conferences on business practices.

Each of these things has contributed to my overall success and stability in my position, and they will propel me forward in the future. I could not have done any of these without the support of management and my team, for which I am very grateful.

7. How have you changed the nature of your job?

When I started this job, I was unfamiliar with all of its intricacies. During my tenure here, I have revolutionized the process for getting my tasks completed by instigating a new filing system and developing a new way of organization.

These things have allowed me to complete work more quickly and effectively, which has changed the face of how someone in my position will handle the work in the future. Having learned the ins and outs of my job in such a way that I’ve improved its efficiency, I have changed the face of this job in more ways than one.

8. In your present position, what problems have you identified that had previously been overlooked?

In my current job, I have recognized several oversights from previous employees that directly affected productivity. By remedying these oversights, I have been able to propel my department forward and solve some fairly complex issues in terms of structure and organization.

I’ve also made great improvements, as previously said, in overall organization, to the point that my job can now run smoothly and effectively. Identifying weakness in a position is one of my strengths and something I enjoy doing, as it allows me to hone in on ways to improve productivity and success.

9. What experience do you have in this field?

Since this is my first job, I didn’t have much experience in the field. I had to learn how to prepare foods, properly clean and sanitize dishes, and use the cash register. I also had to learn how to do cash-ins and cash-outs, as well as cash drops.

This was all new to me. On the other hand, I’ve been in Internet Marketing since 2008, so customer service came as second nature. The customer is always right, and I always know that I need to put the customer first, in any business situation.

10. How do your skills match this job?

I believe my communication skills play an important role in this job, where communication is one of the most important aspects. I’ve have many experienced communication problems because somebody could not communicate well and I think that people should be able to be on the same page before anything productive can actually happen.

Also, being a good problem solver tends to work well with this kind of jobs, where there are a lot of potential problems that may arise. I am able to solve many problems before it causes any major damage.

I can see that you’re looking for somebody who has experience with dealing with customers as well, and I have been in the hospitality industry, which deals primarily with customer service, for about six years now.
