6 Interview Responses Based Competency

6 Interview Responses Based Competency - In a job interview, we often get questions related to our skills from the interviewer. How do we respond and answer those questions?

In this article we will discuss some interview questions related to our skills. The following is an example:

1. Do you like working with figures more than words?

I would say that I prefer both for various reasons. On the one hand, running numbers and managing accounts comes naturally to me. I enjoy the solidity of numbers, the way that math doesn’t change no matter what else does.

On the other hand, I also appreciate words for their ability to connect and motivate people. Without the right words, I could not do what I do so successfully. People get lost when you start giving them figure after figure; instead, I can paintrespect both figures and words.

2. If I spoke with your a picture that speaks to the nature of the accounting aspect without losing them in dozens of figures. I would say that I equally previous boss, what would he say are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

He would say that my greatest weakness is my need to get things done quickly, which sometimes leads to stepping on other people’s toes or ignoring the work of my colleagues. I work quickly, and I assume everyone will work at the same pace.

I have had to work on this over the years, and I feel as though I am improving. My boss would say that my greatest strength is my ability to correct mistakes and move forward. Over the past few months, I’ve worked to overcome my weakness and have made great improvements, which has been noticed by my boss and my coworkers.

3. Can you work under pressures, deadlines, etc.?

I excel under pressure and deadlines. This is when I feel most comfortable, when there’s plenty of chaos and background noise around me, because I can tune out the surrounding noise and hone in on my work.

Pressure propels me forward. Deadlines help me to prioritize what needs to get done when, and I’m better able to assign myself projects when I have a specific end goal in mind.

Without deadlines, I think it would be hard to get a lot of work done because of the open-ended nature of assignments. I prefer having goals towards which I can work.

4. What have you done to improve your knowledge in the last year?

I’ve done many things to improve my knowledge over the past year. I’ve taken a number of business classes, and I’ve also taken a class on sales persuasion, which came to be very useful in work, and in my Internet Marketing business.

I’ve also been reading many success books, and the one that really comes to my mind is, “4-Hour Work Week.” This book has taught me how to better manage my time, and focus only on tasks that will bring success my way.

Before “4-Hour Work Week,” I would waste a lot of time on tasks that didn’t do me any good. Today, I only focus on tasks that will bring me in income.

5. Tell me about a suggestion you have made in a previous job?

I like to suggest things to my employers when I see things are lacking or would benefit by implementing change. While working for my previous employer there where some communication problems between departments about some new product that the company didn’t initially think both departments needed to be trained on.

As I started noticing the communication problems coming in to my department, which was trained and the untrained department, I then spoke with my supervisor and suggested that I do a small training program with the department we had the problems with.

By taking the initiative myself I was able to resolve a problem specific to our two departments without pressuring HR to implement a solution that they had no time to create. It worked out well all around. And both departments were thankful to me for the help get things running smoothly again.

6. If you were hiring a person for this job, what would you look for?

I would definitely hire somebody who has good communication skills because one of this job’s most important qualities is to have good communication skills. Not only that, but being a good communicator is very helpful universally, so it’d definitely be an advantage in the long run.

I would also look for somebody who is good at solving difficult problems, since there is a lot of critical thinking in this job. Being able to solve difficult problems, and being a good communicator, is probably a universal skill that could work for many others jobs as well.

Another thing I would look for is somebody who has good leadership qualities. Being able to envision a goal and have people work around that goal is something that a good leader would be able to do, and with a goal in mind, people will work harder.
