How To Boost Confidence?

How To Boost Confidence?

The first motivation killer is a lack of confidence. When this happens to me, it’s usually because I’m aiming entirely for what I want and disregarding what I already have. When you only think about what you want, your mind generates explanations for why you aren’t getting it. This creates negative thoughts.

Past failures, bad breaks, and personal weaknesses dominate your mind. You become the envy of your competitors and start making excuses for why you can’t succeed. In this state, you tend to make a bad impression, assume the worst about others, and lose self-confidence.

The way to get out of this thought template is to focus on thankfulness. Set aside time to focus on everything positive in your life. Make a mental list of your strengths, past successes, and current advantages. We tend to take our strengths for granted and dwell on our failures. By making an effort to feel grateful, you’ll realize how competent and successful you already are. This will rejuvenate your confidence and get you motivated to build on your recent success.

It might sound strange that repeating things you already know can improve your mindset, but it’s amazingly effective. The mind distorts reality to confirm what it wants to believe. The more negatively you think, the more examples your mind will discover to confirm that belief. When you truly believe that you deserve success, your mind will generate ways to achieve it. The best way to bring success to yourself is to sincerely desire to create value for the rest of the world.

“Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon”! Think about that quote next time you lose your confidence. I am getting goosebumps just reading it. Don’t ever let other people’s opinions discourage you because negative thoughts are exactly that. Other people judge your previous failures and those judgments imprint in your vulnerable mind. Realize that and remove it from your consciousness. By spirit, you are an extremely confident individual and nothing can bring you down.

But it will take time to train your mind and remove all the doubtful thoughts plundering the darkness. If you find yourself at a loss of confidence, watch an inspirational movie, read a motivational book, read quotes, read inspirational stories, anything to get your confidence back up. And it will come back quicker than you expect.

Remember this though. When a negative thought comes, and it will, don’t fight it. It doesn’t work that way. Instead, let it be, entertain it for a while, make a joke about it and it will naturally glow out of your mind. Learning this ability to let go and turn into the flow is of critical importance if you are looking to become a successful person.

Bottom line is, everyone loses their confidence from time to time, it’s just the world we live in. You just have to remember that life is ups and downs and without downs, there are no ups. A wise person once said: You have to feel a little bad to feel a little good!
