What are Job Interview Materials?

What are Job Interview Materials?

Job interview materials vary from one agency or company to another. However, there are some standard materials that employers usually ask during a job interview, such as the following:

Telling yourself in general

The first job interview material you will usually be asked to tell about yourself. The expected answers here relate to your name, your last education and major, where you graduated from, what your other activities (organization) during school and college were, and what field you are most interested in for work. As much as possible, answer the field according to the position you are applying for.

Reasons for Applying

Then, you will also be asked about your reasons for applying for a job at that place. Please answer honestly and openly!

Only for women

Especially for female applicants, if you are not married, you will be asked if you already have a candidate and will marry in the near future. If you are married, you will be asked if you have children or plan to have children in the near future.

Then you will be asked about the priority. As a woman, of course, you have to set priorities between career and home. And this is still an important consideration for most companies in Indonesia.

Weaknesses and Strengths

You will also be asked about your strengths and weaknesses. It is true that we can objectively assess our weaknesses and strengths, of course, other people. But the ability to see your strengths and admit your weaknesses is something that is important in a job interview.

As much as possible after mentioning the shortcomings, also mention the efforts you have made to minimize the negative impacts that may occur due to these deficiencies. For example, your shortcomings often forget, convey that you have tried to make important notes on your agenda or cellphone.

The toughest problem you've ever faced

The next job interview material is usually the interviewer also asks what the toughest problem you've ever faced, be it in your organization or family. Then you will be asked how you solved the problem. From here the interviewer wants to see how our ability to solve problems is and how strong we are in facing problems.

Demonstration of abilities

One of the things that employers usually ask during a job interview is to demonstrate your abilities according to the required requirements. For example, if the requested requirements are computer related, then you will be asked to solve the problem using a computer. Or if it relates to a certain foreign language, you will be asked to speak in that language, at least introduce yourself in general.

Case studies

Case studies here are usually to see if you are a solitaire or a team worker, as well as whether you can work well under pressure. Convince the interviewer that you can work well alone and in a team, and even under pressure.
