What to Do When Your Employees Show Bad Performance?

All business owners definitely want to see all their employees show good performance when working at the office, right? This makes them disappointed when workers show bad performance. To deal with this problem, some business owners take firm actions by scolding employees, giving warning letters, cutting salary, or firing those employees. This is also done by my business partner. He gives warning letters and fires employees who don’t work at the office well.

Actually, I also want to do it, but I feel that it is not fair because I don’t know what makes my workers show bad performance. I believe that they also don’t want to deal with this problem. To solve this problem, I consult with my business advisor and he asks me to investigate and look for causes of problems, so that I can find the right solution.

Yup, you have to know what is going on with your employees. There are surely certain reasons why they show bad performance. To find the reasons, you have to look into and keep an eye on your workers. 

If you still don’t find those reasons, ask employees to meet you one by one. Then, ask them to explain and tell their reasons, so that they show bad performance. By doing this, there is a big possibility to know what is going on clearly.

Take Essential Actions

There are many things that make workers unable to work optimally, such as: personal conflict with their colleagues, dirty workplace, uncomfortable nuance, broken office facilities, and so on. If you already know what the reasons are, take essential actions soon. 

For instance, if employees show bad performance because of broken office stuff, replace those things with new ones or if this problem happens because the cooling system in their workroom does not work well, so they often feel heat temperature, you have to repair that electronic product soon.
